Stilo Car to Pit Communication

Verbacom is new for 2011 which offers circuit racers a very simple and very lightweight communication system which is easy to use, with no need for radio licensing, but offering full communication around normally difficult circuits: ie Spa and Le Mans!!

The system consists of the following:

• 2 x Bluetooth Optimised Telephones
• 1 x Pit Crew Headset with push to talk and noise cancelling microphones
• Noise cancelling and voice activated driver connection module and cables
• All chargers and carry case

During a race the two telephones are connected via a normal telephone call, with each user connected by a bluetooth connection to both the pit crew headset and the drivers helmet connection module.

The driver unit is small lightweight that can be fitted onto the helmet if required or positioned to a suitable spot in car, this weighing just 150 grammes, and connects directly into the Stilo helmet comm port. The driver simply talks to open the line to the pit crew, no need to press buttons. For the pit crew there is a PTT button on the pit crew headset to connect back to the driver.

Stilo helmet electronics can be purchased as an extra should your own helmet have no electronics.

Unlike radio systems the Verbacom can offer coverage all around a race circuit and does not require fancy signal boosters or tall radio masts to get coverage. It is fully automated and once a call is set up it will automatically re-connect, should a call be lost, with no need for driver or pit crew to do anything.

The in car kit weighes only 400 grammes and is dramatically simplified over an average radio system.

Additional driver modules can be purchased for use in an endurance event and once all are paired with the race car telephone drivers simply jump in and out of the car and will pair with the phone automatically.
